Over the last 5 years, we've developed a team of songwriters, bringing to Newday songs such as Call You Faithful, Alive With Worship, Good Things, Heartbeat, Move Like This and more. How do you create a culture of songwriting? How do you best collaborate with other writers? What if it doesn't work? Practical workshop with the Newday songwriting team.

Do you play a stringed instrument in your church but not sure how you fit in the normal band line up? Maybe you lead worship and would love to incorporate strings, but don't know how? A workshop on how to best use strings in your local church, talking through our journey to Alive With Strings at Newday 2016. Bring your violins!

A door that opens to a whole world of creativity! How to get the best out of backing tracks in worship? From the practical set up and technical side, to how to lead worship with backing tracks, whilst still growing in the prophetic and spontaneity.

How do you go from being a song leader to a worship leader? How do you move beyond the songs to shepherding and pastoring the room to encounter God? Practical, leadership, shepherding skills - essential for anyone wanting to grow in worship leading.

Why do we do what we do? What makes a 'good' worship time? How do I encounter more of God's presence? Looking at some plumb-line values of theology that shape corporate worship - enabling us to lead from a place of faith, rather than guess work.

We're ending the day with a huge worship event featuring our Newday String Section playing live songs from Alive With Strings, joined by our NewdayWorship team lead by Simon Brading. It's going to be one action packed day!

Where

Newday Worship School will be held at Church of Christ the King in Brighton:

Church of Christ the King
Clarendon Centre
47 New England Street
Brighton
East Sussex
BN1 4GQ

As the venue is literally 4 minutes walk from Brighton train station, we recommend getting the train down. However, there is a car park opposite the Clarendon Centre which is around £10 for the day.

Food

Because it's only a one day conference, we've kept the lunch break fairly tight, so we'd recommend bringing a packed lunch. But we've left a slightly longer dinner break before the evening celebration if you want to go out and get food...

There is a McDonalds, KFC, Subway, Dominos, kebab shop, Sainsburys, Boots and Co-op all within 10 minutes of the Clarendon Centre. Google map it on the day and you'll be winning.

God has called us to train the next generation worship leaders and musicians and we appreciate train tickets and petrol can add up... so we've purposely made this day as accessible as possible.
